My story

Ginger | 5 years old |72 lbs | SO loving| GTA Ginger is the definitive "people person." He is happy to meet men, women, and children, and approaches everyone with the same friendliness and curiousity. Ginger has been waiting for his forever family for awhile now, and we can't quite figure it out. He's an amazing dog: friendly, gentle, and affectionate. He had a rough start in life, and we're so eager to find him the peaceful forever home he deserves. Despite being bullied by other dogs in the community where he lived, Ginger's nature is trusting and relaxed. He is a little wary of larger male dogs, but would likely be fine with a female dog or a smaller dog. He has no issues trusting people, and is very calm and confident inside the home. He doesn't react to loud noises or thunder, is fine being stepped over when he's lying down, and is friendly with people who come to the house. Ginger is a big chiller but he has adorable bouts of play, where he likes to chase his tail and generally act like a big goof. He is also learning to play with toys (big fan). He's a big cuddler, and loves to wrestle and give kisses. Ginger is housetrained and walks nicely on leash although squirrels are currently very interesting to him and he can pull when he sees one. This is a very good boy who has survived a lot but, like so many of the most special dogs, has an incredibly loving and resilient personality. We'd love to find him a home where he can live the dog life he deserves with lots of play, fun, love, safety, and security. If you can offer this life to Ginger, then please fill out an application: https://form.jotform.com/pawsacrossthewater/adoption-application

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ginger, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
