My story

Meet Yeti, a SUPER cute ~1 year old neutered male Maltese/Chinese Crested mix, weighing about 11 lbs! Yeti is a happy, friendly boy who gets along well with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. He can be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly!  From Yeti's current foster:  "Yeti how cute is he! Very shy boy, but he’s coming around. I can tell he just wants to be loved His happy tail won’t stop wagging. First couple nights I had him in his crate so he decompress but last night he slept with us and he thought he was the king ! He’s coming out of his shell. Loves to get his belly rubbed  hops around like a little bunny outside- too cute." He is medically up to date, outdoor housebroken, pad trained, and crate trained. A 100% good doggo!  **PLEASE NOTE: Yeti will be available at our adoption event on 6/22 at Petco in Dayville, CT. We are accepting applications on him now! As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
