Maybella

My story

Meet Maybella, a gorgeous spayed female Catahoula mix with the prettiest eyes and Merle coat! She also has the cutest pink speckled nose! She is about 6 months old and is a petite girl, weighing about 21 lbs currently. She is expected to grow to a medium sized dog.  Maybella is great with everyone - dogs, people, kids, AND cats. Such a social butterfly! She is  described as very friendly and playful - not to mention stunning! She does not love to share food or bones with other dogs, but this is easily managed by feeding and giving high value treats separately from other dogs in the home (we always recommend this anyway). From Maybella's current foster:  "Maybella is such a sweet girl! She loves being with me and my other rescues! She travels nicely in the car and sleeps through the night in her crate!" As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
