My story

    Meet Amber – A Brave Soul Ready to Belong My name is Amber, and while I may not be able to share my whole story, my eyes hold the truth. I once had a family I loved deeply, and losing them was hard on my heart. But with the love and care I’m now receiving from Angels Among Us Pet Rescue and my amazing foster family, I’m starting to feel safe again and even wag my tail a little more each day. Right now, I’m focused on healing, gaining back a healthy weight, rediscovering joy, and remembering what it feels like to be cherished. I’m a true, young German Shepherd: deeply loyal, incredibly smart, and beautifully tuned in to the humans around me. I’m quiet in the house, find comfort in my crate, and I’m fully potty trained. I’ll gently let you know when I need to go out. I’m learning that squeaky toys, bones, and chasing sticks are actually super fun! I love listening when you talk, I tilt my head and soak in every word (and maybe I even understand them). I enjoy watching TV with you and staying close throughout the day. Whether we’re playing outside, relaxing on the couch, or simply sharing quiet moments, I’ll be right there, your loyal, loving sidekick. I’m working on my leash manners (I don’t pull, but sometimes I get nervous), and I’m learning how to be more relaxed around other dogs. I already know how to sit, stay, and shake and I’m eager to learn more if you’ll teach me with love and patience. I’m spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, and so ready to begin the next chapter of my life with you. If you’ve ever loved a German Shepherd, you know how deep and lifelong that bond can be.
