My story

    Meet Papaya Peach Papaya is a sweet and soulful 40 lb female pit bull/bulldog mix who’s ready for a second chance at life. Recently completing her heartworm treatment, Papaya is now on the path to recovery and looking for a calm, loving home where she can feel safe and secure. At around 2-3 years old (best guess), Papaya has a mellow, low-energy personality and prefers to spend her days lounging in a comfy spot. She’s a bit of an introvert and takes time to warm up, but once she trusts you, she’ll love you forever. Loud noises, thunderstorms, and busy environments can be overwhelming for her, so she’d thrive in a quiet, adult-only home—ideally with a woman, as she tends to be more comfortable around women. Because of her limited mobility, a home without stairs is a must. Papaya doesn’t ask for much—just a peaceful place to rest her head, a patient and loving person, and a soft bed to curl up on.
