My story

    Meet Major – Lover, Leader, and Bug-Hunting Champ! Hi, I’m Major! I arrived at my foster home after being rescued from a tough overcrowding situation. At first, I wasn’t so sure about all this love and comfort—so I took up residence under the loveseat and stayed put for a week. That’s when I was temporarily demoted to Private... but don’t worry, I’ve since earned my stripes back! Once I found my confidence, I showed my foster parents who I really am—a total cuddle bug with a heart of gold. I might be part Angora or Maine Coon (with luxuriously soft fur to prove it!), though I’m on the smaller side. What I lack in size, I make up for in personality! I love other cats, especially my foster sister Luna—she’s my best friend and favorite wrestling partner. When we’re not playing, I’m usually chilling by a window, watching Bird & Squirrel TV. I’m also working hard to win over the older, more “dignified” cats in the house. It’s a work in progress. I’m not the biggest fan of being picked up, but I have my own way of asking for affection: I walk right up and flop at your feet—aka the universal signal for “pet me now.” I live for brushing sessions and kitty massages. You won’t believe how soft my fur is! I’m proud to report that I’ve reclaimed my title as Major, thanks to my leadership skills—bug hunting, first to the feeder, and fearless exploring.
