My story

Meet Winston Sweet senior fella looking for his retirement home! Meet Winston! This boy is estimated to be about 12 years old. Up until about a month ago Winston lived a very different life as he came to us as a rescue from a hoarding situation. He lived his whole life inside a home with 70+ other small dogs. He fought every day to survive, and his little body shows the scars and neglect of a now past life. Today Winston has a new beginning and a new story to write! He was saved and is currently learning how to be a loved member of a family in his foster home. He is what we call a Velcro dog and has really shown us his dream home would be with someone who will dote on him and his little chihuahua desires. His only desire? a lap! and maybe some snacks but honestly a lap is what this boy craves. Winston is a lover, and we mean it! He will choose his person and will focus his attention on sticking to them like glue! Wherever you go he wants to be right there, if he cannot find you, he will let out an adorable little howl/Bark to let you know your missed. Being he is an older pup Winston does have some minor health issues. He has chronic dry eyes from living in his previous home that sometimes cause him to have vision issues, he has skin allergies that cause dry and itchy skin, and he has arthritis in his 12 years of age. All of these are easily manageable with medication and come with the territory of being a senior and a previous hoarding dog. Don't let that discourage you he is 100% worth taking a chance on and will provide you with all the love he can give in return. Winston has been fully vetted and is ready to FINALLY retire in a safe, clean and comfortable home where he can live out his days as a loved family member. His ideal home would be with someone who is home all day. He is good with other small dogs and cats but has not been around large dogs or children. At this time we do not suggest a home with small kiddos. Our adoption fee is $150 and we require a home and fence check for all potential adopters.
