My story

Are you looking for a super special cat to add to your family? Look no further than Opal! This precious 5 month old kitten will melt your heart with one purr and look into her eyes. Opal came to us about 8 weeks old as a severe injury case. She was hit by a car and suffered devastating injuries. She was hospitalized and given around the clock care to stabilize her. She slowly regained her strength and had to have surgery to amputated her back leg that was severely broken as well as her tail that was full degloved. Her remaining back leg was broken at the hip and she required a special medical foster to help with rehab so she could learn to walk again. Despite her injuries and the long recovery this girl had it never took away her zest for life and her ability to love! She is now fully recovered and thriving! She races around her foster home on three legs, plays with toys, eats like a champ and loves life and people. She can be a little shy at first but she is a melty pile of love once she settles in. She loves pets and will lay on your lap and purr for hours. Please note Opal is a tripod and does not have a tail, all potential adopters must agree to keep her indoors at all times and not to declaw. Opal is fully vetted which includes her spay, vaccinations, microchip, has been tested negative for FIV/FELV, and dewormed. She is litterbox trained and good with other friendly cats and dogs with a proper intro. Our feline adoption fee is $100 with approved application and we do require meet and greets with all family members living in the home. For more information on Opal please email us at Info@pbanimaladvocates.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Opal, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
