My story

Meet our little Chihuahua girl named Luna! Luna is about 7.5 years old and she was surrendered to us after her owner went away and no one could care for her. She is a small girl who is full of personality! Luna had a male owner, but she is fine with both men and women. In true Chihuahua fashion, Luna bonds closely with those she trusts, and she can be a bit protective of them. Luna takes some time to trust someone new, but once she is comfortable, she is a total lap dog! Luna wants to be carried around or just sit on your lap. She also enjoys walks and likes to get her legs moving. Luna will need a patient home that will give her some time to get used to her new surroundings and that will understand she needs time to get used to new people. She really is a little love and she prances around in her kennel excited to see us when we arrive at the shelter in the morning. Currently, we are looking for an adult only home for Luna, or one with children 13 years and older who have dog experience. If you are interested in adopting Luna, Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! Her adoption fee is $75.00. PLEASE CHECK YOU EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME. For more info please call 203-235-4179 (Always Leave A Message) or email adopt@savingpawsct.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Luna! Little Chi Girl!, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
