My story

This 10-month-old mixed breed is a sweet, playful pup who just needs a little time to feel safe. Brody wasn't well socialized as a younger puppy, so he can be nervous in new situations and takes a little while to warm up to new people. But once he knows you, his affectionate and fun-loving side shines. Brody loves to go for walks and would thrive in a quieter home that can still give him plenty of exercise and outdoor time. He’s house trained and enjoys a good routine. He can be shy around new dogs at first, but once he settles in, he’s absolutely adorable and playful with them—a friendly dog buddy in the home could really help build his confidence. He does need to be picked up to get in the car (we’re working on it!), but he’s a total sweetheart who’s learning more about the world every day. Brody has no experience with cats and no known history with kids. If you’ve got a gentle, patient heart and a calm home, Brody might just be your perfect match. All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations - heartworm test -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
