My story

Suki  poodle, male - neutered colour is white with a faint tan topline short, curly coat vacc utd, microchipped approx age 9 - 10yrs neutered male housetrained      Suki is a loving, calm and playful guy once you gain his trust. He's living with two other dogs. He can be a bit of a bully at first but once told "no thank you" he stopped.  He shows no interest to play with other dogs ... he does love hanging out in the yard with them   He enjoys being with people. He'll happily jump on a bed or couch to cuddle...just to be close.  seems fine with new people.  He always greets people with a happy face and a wagging tail.   loves his toys ...I do not leave any toys laying around as this can trigger him to guard them from the other dogs/people. Suki is always willing to trade a toy for another toy or a treat. Any unwanted behavior is usually resolved quickly by signaling him to stop... he is such a good boy!   walks well on a leash and travels well in a car   Suki appears to have some hearing loss he is not a barker he is not destructive when left alone   Suki is very suspicious of touch when being groomed or being checked. He does have issues/triggers while attempting to groom around his eyes or feet. He needs to be muzzled. excellent to bath/blow-dry (muzzled)  It has taken time and patience ... When he comes in from the yard I can now slowly dry off his feet/legs (no muzzle) he's gaining new responses to his triggers. He needs lots of positive reinforcement. Suki is on special food for allergies ... his food can be purchased at a pet supply store.  While in foster Suki has had no issues with his skin or scratching. He would do best in a home with a fenced yard and with someone who is home most of the day no small children cats unknown    May 17, 2025, 8:07 am
