My story

Some call me Sweetheart, others call me Pookie—what would YOU choose?! I’m a loving, sweet, playful young gal looking for my forever home. I was found outside of my foster parents' home and have gotten well adjusted to the house life; no more streets for me! I love hanging out with my human as much as possible, and will actively participate in conversation with you, too. While I have been around dogs and other cats, it may be best for me to start as an only child. Otherwise, please allow some time for me to get adjusted in a separated environment. I am so ready for my new forever family to claim me and start my new life with them. Are you interested in adopting Pookie or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received. Completed applications can be sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org , faxed to 919-300-5524 or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center or Timber Drive next to Home Depot).
