*see my video* Say hello to Bella Marie, a gorgeous 5-year-old feline with a little sparkle of sass and a whole lot of love to give. This charming girl has the perfect blend of independent spirit and affectionate soul – she's not afraid to let you know what she wants, but she’ll also melt into your hand when the moment’s right. Bella Marie can be a bit shy at first, especially in new environments, but give her a little time and space, and she’ll start to show her sweet, quirky personality. She’s lived happily with children and would do well in a home where she can set the pace for interactions — she enjoys companionship, but on her terms (as any true cat royalty does!). Playtime? Yes, please – but in moderation. Bella Marie likes a little entertainment now and then, especially with a feather wand or a jingly toy. More than anything, she enjoys quiet moments curled up beside you, getting gentle pets and chin scratches. Sassy cats are usually confident, intelligent and active. They often don’t like to be held, or have places on their bodies that they prefer not to be touched. When handled or petted in ways they do not prefer, they are likely to swat, nip or bite. They will be happiest in adult only homes or those with older kids who understand cats that have rules and will leave them alone. If they are bored then they may get into trouble and often need extra playtime in order to be their best selves. Sassy cats will go home with a behavior plan that will need to be followed in order for EVERYONE in the home to be happy. Typically, sassy cats are not for first-time cat owners. We are often on the line with another client, but we return voice mail and emails within 24 hours. All cat adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies vaccine -current distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -FeLV/FIV blood test -microchip implanted & registered to the adopter -treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your new pet.
