My story

**I must go home with a friendly adult dog to help build my confidence! I am not a typical puppy - I am fearful!** Little Guy is a 5-month-old mixed breed puppy who’s still learning that the world isn’t so scary after all. He didn’t get the socialization he needed in his previous home, so new people, places, and experiences are all a bit overwhelming for him right now. But under that nervous exterior is a sweet, playful puppy just waiting to come out. Once Little Guy starts to feel safe, he shows his silly, fun-loving side and acts just like a regular puppy—curious, goofy, and eager to play. He’s still got a lot to learn, so he’ll need all the usual puppy basics: house training, leash skills, and learning not to chew the furniture. But more than anything, he needs help building his confidence. Little Guy must go home with a calm, friendly adult dog who can show him the ropes and help him feel secure. A home that’s patient and committed to going at his pace is key. Positive reinforcement training classes will make a world of difference for this little guy, not just to teach him manners, but to help him understand the world isn’t so scary after all. We are often on the line with another client, but we return voice mail and emails within 24 hours. All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations - heartworm test -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
