My story

Hi, I’m Robbie, a 5-year-old, 11-lb Chihuahua! I don't need much: just belly rubs and a kind family who will love me forever. General Behavior: Robbie adorable, loyal, alert, smart, and feisty. Robbie is also a total couch potato. His ideal day would involve sitting next to his person on the sofa for his belly rubs, then burrowing under the covers for more snuggles when it is time to go to sleep. He's always ready to give you a kiss when you need one and to greet you when you come home. When it comes to other people, this sweetheart will never be a social butterfly, but with love, patience, and slow introductions, he can expand his social circle. Robbie loves his treats and takes them like a gentleman!  Likes & Dislikes: Robbie loves getting his human's attention and snuggles! Training: Robbie is housetrained if let out frequently, he is well behaved on car rides, and he sleeps in the people bed at night. He will need training to help him make friends. Whoever adopts him needs to start immediately by slowly introducing him to people (who frequent the house) so he knows them when he is getting to know the adopter(s). This way they won’t be strangers to him. Medical: Robbie is a healthy boy! He just needs his monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Other Animals: Robbie's ideal home would feature another laid back dog that loves people without getting too excited or he wouldn't mind being your one and only!  He hasn't been observed around cats, but his foster does NOT think he'd be OK with them. Children: Robbie has not been observed around children yet. He would probably do best in a home with understanding, older children (ages 15+) or no children. Home: Robbie has a loud bark that could be an issue in an apartment, so he would do best in a single-family home. Grooming: Robbie should not need too much elaborate grooming, apart from brushing. Overall: Robbie will make a wonderful companion for a kind, patient, savvy family. Do you have a spot on your sofa and in your heart for this cutie? If so, visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. He is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption donation is $275. ##2304786##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Robbie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
