My story

Meet Nacho Cheese – a sweet and slightly shy 2-year-old Shiba Inu who weighs 23 pounds. This handsome guy may take a little time to warm up, but once he does, his friendly and gentle personality starts to shine through.Nacho Cheese is learning that people are kind and the world isn’t so scary. He’s curious, observant, and taking steps each day toward building his confidence. With patience and a soft voice, he’ll come around and show you what a loving companion he can be.He gets along with other dogs and may do well with a canine friend in the home to help him continue blossoming. With his endearing demeanor and hopeful heart, Nacho Cheese is ready to find a family that will give him the love and support he deserves.*********Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with time and a gentle approach, most of these dogs adapt quickly.
