My story

WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi there! I am your new best friend, Carl!   ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I’m the most handsome gentleman ever!   HOW OLD ARE YOU? As of the middle of 2025, I am around two years old.  WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a pit bull mix! HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am 62 pounds of perfection!  WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? Stunning is an understatement. I have a blocky head, a gorgeous fawn coat, am fit and fabulous, and have the most beautiful gold eyes. Truly breathtaking! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I’m not picky. If you’re offering, I’m accepting! Let’s eat! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am such a sweet, gentle boy. I am mellow when I need to be, playful when appropriate, and overall a perfect gentleman. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: Oh boy, I get to pick my perfect day!?! It would start with a yummy meal, then a long walk, maybe a nap to rejuvenate, then let’s have some play time! Don’t forget dinner, then some quality couch time with my humans before I crawl into my cozy bed for a snooze! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? Oh, I’m good with most any toy, really. Squeaky toys? Yes, please! A soft stuffie? That sounds delightful! A ball to chew on and chase around the yard? How fun is that!?! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I am good with “sit,” especially when it involves treats! I am willing to learn if you’re willing to teach, so maybe we can spend some time having fun bonding through training. WHAT SCARES YOU? I’m mostly afraid of ending up out on the street again. But I trust that the wonderful family that gives me a forever home will never let that happen to me again. That makes the future exciting and not so scary.   HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? I haven’t been around children, so I can’t say how I’d feel around them, to be honest. Maybe older kids that understand how to be respectful of my space? DO YOU LIKE CATS? Oh, no thanks. I’ll pass on cats!  HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I am good with other dogs, as long as you give me time and space for proper introductions. I was rescued along with another dog friend and have made some new dog friends since I have been in my foster home..   IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Anywhere that I am safe and loved by my humans. Spending time with a human that is mine forever would be the best place in the world!  HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m very healthy! Pretty much perfect, right??   WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I am a good boy in my crate, also known as my man cave. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? Yes, yes, yes! I love walking on a leash!    DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? I mentioned that I’m perfect, right? I don’t have much in the way of “not so great” habits at this time. I stay off the furniture unless invited, I take food gently when it is offered, and I don’t react when another dog is pestering me outside my crate… What a good boy!   ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) Yes, I am! I will need you to show me where you want me to potty, and be patient with me as I learn my new space, but I will figure it out quickly.   DO YOU LIKE WATER? I haven’t had a lot of experience with swimming, but I am a good boy so I will tolerate a bath, even if it’s not exactly my idea of a good time. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? A friend and I were cruising the neighborhood and found our way into a convenience store on a really hot day. The nice people saved us and contacted NorCal Bully Breed Rescue to take care of us. Now NorCal Bully Breed Rescue is helping us find a loving forever home.
