My story

Athena is a 4-year-old pit bull with a gentle heart and a sweet, soulful personality. She was recently surrendered through no fault of her own—her previous owner had to move to housing that doesn’t allow pets. Now she’s hoping to find a new place to land, one filled with love, stability, and maybe a few treats too. This beautiful girl is house trained, affectionate, and has lived peacefully with both kids and cats. She enjoys the company of other dogs but appreciates a proper introduction—so if you’ve got a potential dog buddy at home, we’d be happy to help set up a meet and greet. Athena’s been through a tough stretch lately and is a bit underweight, but with a consistent, nutritious diet and a little TLC, she’ll be back to full strength in no time. We are often on the line with another client, but we return voice mail and emails within 24 hours. All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations - heartworm test -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
