My story

This bouncy, beautiful 1-year-old is ready to bring big love and energy to her new home! Storm Fly was sadly surrendered due to housing instability, but she is a total sweetheart—friendly with people and full of playful energy. Storm Fly knows some basic commands and walks well on a leash, though she may get a little barky when excited. She especially loves squeaky toys, pets, and hugs. Her ideal home? One that matches her joyful energy and can offer structure, love, and plenty of playtime. She’d be perfect for an active adopter or family ready to give her the attention and affection she craves. She was really nervous to come out but opened up around other dogs. She was a bit awkward with them but still interacted appropriately. Tolerant and relaxed. She could use some more socialization with them and think would be positive for her. She met Kenny and did well, although nervous. She’s on the shy side but did well with all handling and a room full of people. She was much more relaxed in kennel after she was out. She’s tiny, and so sweet. 05/02/2025 staff notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Storm Fly was in her crate with wide eyes and a low wagging tail. I opened the crate door and easily secured her. Once secured she came right out. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls moderately HANDLING : In the room she was neutral with dilated scared eyes and a low tail. She sniffed around curiously and would come up when called with a baby voice. She had some low wags and sat patiently for me. She took the treats gently from me but dropped it right away. She was a bit nervous of new people coming into the room but despite being hesitant she tried to be brave. She went up to greet people but once touched with lip lick and walked away. She was tolerant of all handling but wasn't exactly loose or comfortable PLAY: She was very nervous as the handler ran around, stepped backwards away from her with a tucked tail and was very nervous. TOYS: No interest – got nervous when the handler raised the toy up - ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week.
