My story

Dog Name: Ms. Bianca Breed: Miniature Poodle Sex: Female Age: 14 years Weight: 10 lbs. Medical Needs: No major medical needs. She should take joint supplements for her arthritis. Housebroken: Yes, with frequent outings like most elderly pets. She will use a strategically placed pee pad if she doesn’t quite make it. Crate trained: Yes, although her foster mom does not utilize one very often. She prefers to sleep on a pet bed near her foster's bed. Good in the car: Yes Good on a leash: Yes Energy level: low Need a fenced in yard: No. However if you choose to let her out without a leash, you will need to keep up with her as she tends to walk quickly (for an elderly gal) and doesn’t really care where she is headed. Dog Friendly: Yes, she is a petite gal so larger dogs may not be a good fit. If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No Cat Friendly? Yes. Kid Friendly: Not tested, but she is mild-mannered and shouldn’t be a problem. If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any, as long as the kiddos are tender and careful around her. Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Ms. Bianca is a sweet senior gal who wants nothing more than a cozy bed, short walks, and soft food for mealtimes. She has had all her teeth removed, so she will need a diet of canned or softened dog food. She loves moist treats or even small hard ones. She loves following her people around and likes being in the mix of things. Ms. Bianca does have arthritis in her back and legs, giving her a humped and stilted look when walking, but she doesn’t let it stop her enjoyment of daily walks. She also has a few small skin cysts, but they also don’t diminish her enjoyment of living out her golden years. So maybe she isn’t the youngest or prettiest dog on the block, but her love of her people will bring its own rich reward. Maybe you are a senior citizen who walks around a little hunched over and a little stiffly that would love to have Ms. Bianca to share your golden years with.
