My story

Hi! My name is Orion! I am an adult Domestic Short Haired cat who is approx. 3 years old and weighs about 10 Lbs. I was brought to the shelter after my finder was unable to find my owners. I am a very sweet boy who would love to find a home with a family where I can be a lazy indoor house cat. I am new to the shelter so it is unknown how I will do with other animals and children. Please stay tuned for updates as the shelter staff gets to know me over the next few days. I will be available for adoption on 04/28/25. My adoption fee is $50 which includes my neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, FVRCP booster to date and FIV test. My FIV test, neuter, rabies and microchip are scheduled for Wednesday 04/30/25. My neuter date is nonnegotiable so please plan accordingly if you plan to adopt. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption.
