My story

Meet Fern! Fern is a 1 year old, female Plott Hound/Pit mix that weighs about 60 Lbs. She was found off of N. Goliad and 552 in Rockwall on 12/23/24 and never reclaimed. So now I am looking for a new family that will love me fur ever! I am a very sweet and playful girl. I walk well on a leash and appear to be potty trained. I enjoy comfy beds and soft blankets. I love going on walks and being around affectionate humans. I have made a few dog friends but if you have other dogs in the home, a meet and greet is suggested prior to adoption to ensure that we play well together. I have been searching for my furr ever home for 106 days as of 04/08/2025 and am now considered a Diamond Dog! My adoption fee is $75. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, boosters to date and heartworm negative. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption.
