My story

Sail the seven seas with pirate Pumba!Pumba came to EHS from an overcrowded municipal shelter. Not much was known about him other than he had lost sight in one eye due to chronic inflammation/glaucoma so the vet recommended its removal. He’s a trooper who no longer requires an eye patch, and has now revealed his affectionate personality. The verdict is in: he’s much too sweet to be a pirate! ABOUT PUMBA: -In foster-Pumba is a bit shy, but he is very affectionate once he warms up.-A slow and gentle approach is best, but once he’s learned to trust, Pumba is a lap cat!-He may hide when he hears a loud noise. Old habits are hard to shake, right Pumba? -He will purr, roll over for tummy rubs, and give head butts if he hasn’t had enough affection! He loves to follow his foster mom around the house. -Pumba was recently featured on CP24’s Take me Home Tuesday so we can now add “Star” to his feline CV. - He is a chirpy boy who loves to play with foil balls and wand toys, he and enjoys being brushed. -Pumba is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.PUMBA’S IDEAL HOME:-Pumba would thrive in a quiet home with a patient family who will help him feel safe. -Pumba must be the only cat in the home. Dogs and other pets are an unknown. -Given his tendency to hide at unexpected noise, a home without wee ones would be best. -Pumba loves to look out the window. A home with a perch for him to see the birds and the world go by would be ideal. ‘Arrr’ you hooked on handsome Pumba? Contact EHS and fill out an application form for him today! If you have any questions about Pumba or the adoption process, please contact cats@etobicokehumanesociety.com

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pumba, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
