My story

Meet Ricky, our soft-spoken sweetheart! Ricky is a charming little gentleman with an expressive face and a heart full of potential. Though nervous at first, this quiet boy is learning to trust and shows glimmers of affection for those who match his energy. With calming words and a patient touch, you`ll soon discover that Ricky is a tender companion just waiting to find a loving home. ABOUT RICKY- At shelter- Ricky is a sweet, sensitive boy who responds to gentle affection. - He loves soft pets on his chin and cheeks—his little way of saying `thank you` is leaning right into your hand. - Ricky can often be found curled in his cozy cubby, a safe space to nap and observe the world around him. He is quite fond of being scratched with a backscratcher but he sometimes gently places his paw on it to signal when he`s not quite ready. - While still a bit shy, Ricky has shown he`s open to trusting people. Talk to him softly, offer him a bit of churu, and you might be rewarded with happy purrs. - Ricky is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans. - Ricky is currently enrolled in EHS’s socialization program, where dedicated volunteers are working to help him become more comfortable around people.- Ricky is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.RICKY`S IDEAL HOME- A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children.- Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Ricky settle into his new environment. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Ricky with a successful transition to his forever home.- Ricky would do best in a home without young children or dogs. At this point, it`s unknown if he enjoys the company of other cats.- He requires a loving environment with cozy hideouts, warm laps (eventually!), and plenty of pets. Ricky is proving the world can be gentle, and he`s ready to find a family who believes in him. Could that be you? If you have any questions about Ricky or the adoption process, please contact cats@etobicokehumanesociety.com

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ricky, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
