Palomo

My story

Meet Palomo! Palomo was surrendered to Baldwin Park Shelter by his owner for unknown reasons. On April 22nd, we scooped him up, along with a bunch of other senior dogs there, to become a Frosted Face. Palomo is 11 years old, weighs 13.5 lbs, and is very sweet. Palomo is currently enjoying a two-week Frosted Fling, giving us the chance to learn more about him in a cozy home setting while he soaks up extra love and attention. A few days into their fling, Palomo's Fling Mom shared this update: "Pal is an absolute gem, and he made friends everywhere we went today human and dog. He's getting better at letting people pick him up, (if they go slow) and he's actually seeking affection occasionally and usually with bribes. Pal is very smart. I'm not sure if he's ever been trained, but he already learned how to use stairs to get on the bed and commands wait, leave it (he learned in one session). and sit. He has no separation anxiety or excessive barking when home alone. We're working on manners/impulsivity, trying new things to build confidence, and coming out of his shell more. Overall, I think Pal is enjoying foster life, and we're enjoying having him. He would make someone the best buddy because he's so easy, cute, and resilient!"
