My story

Meet Palomo! After Palomo was surrendered to Baldwin Park Shelter by his owner for unknown reasons, we scooped him up to become a Frosted Face. This 11 year-old, 13.5 lb. cutie pie can be shy at first, but once you've earned his trust, you get his love and devotion, too! When Palomo went on a two-week Frosted Fling, we learned that he is much more comfortable in a home, and his little personality blossoms as he feels safe. Thankfully, his fling family generously offered to foster Pally (their nickname for him) until he is adopted! Here's what we've learned about Pally: * He is great with all animals (cats, rabbits, and dogs) and people. He even enjoys the rowdy puppy in his foster home. * He goes with the flow! Pally is happy to chill at home alone, not barking or exhibiting any separation anxiety. That said, he is even happier to go on adventures! * He’s been to pools, dog parks, and restaurants with his foster fam and was very well-behaved. * He likes going for long walks around the neighborhood but easily adjusts to his humans' activity level for the day. He loves naps, too! * Pally is super food motivated, and the way to his heart is through his tummy! * He is a smart cookie who knows “sit,” “down,” “leave it,” and “wait". Pally would thrive in a calm, patient household with adults or older children who understand that trust takes time.
