My story

Meet Tanner, Tanner is a 5-year-old pup (think: a teenager living in a retirement home) bursting with personality and debonair charm—swoon! He loves a good game of tug-o-war with his favorite stuffed toys and is full of playful, quirky energy that will keep you smiling. Tanner is a volunteer favorite, and he loves going on special solo outings. Here is just some of the great feedback he receives: * Tanner is Mr. Personality! It’s hard to not have fun with him whether be it belly rubs, stuffed toys, fetch, tug-of-war…he does it all and his enthusiasm is infectious. * Even though he’s a goofball, Tanner is doing great with sitting when asked and demonstrating calm energy when coming in for pets. Tanner wants to please! * Tanner is not your typical Frosted Face. This boy can move! He loves a hike or a jog and isn’t reactive when passing other dogs or walking near respectful friends. * Tanner is great in the car and always up for adventure. He was a rockstar climbing Potato Chip Rock and at the Stroll for Seniors. A true foodie, Tanner will not pass up a pup cup or hamburger patty after exercising! Tanner recently returned from a two-week Frosted Fling, which allowed us to learn what he is like in a home setting. His Fling Mom reports: "Tanner is so sweet! He is great with people and loves attention. He’s so much fun to take on hikes and will motivate you the entire way up. He walks better with a harness and gets excited and pulls at times, but he will listen when corrected. He loves to check out every thing and is very curious. Tanner loves to eat and gets very excited while waiting for his food! He will sit and wait patiently when asked. Tanner did not have a single accident during the two weeks he was at my house. Tanner loves to play, and he has lots of energy. He reacts to reflections, so glass, window, appliance or reflective surfaces may cause him to bark and get upset. He calms down quickly in a crate and sleeps well throughout the night. Tanner is such a good boy, he deserves a home and will give you so much love!" As much as Tanner loves humans, he does best with his own space. Since he needs to be the only dog in his household, Tanner is eligible to foster through our Molly & Me Project, a paid foster program. REQUIREMENTS -No other animals of any kind in the household -Submit weekly photos -Live an enriching life and include the Frosted Face -Demonstrate ability to avoid scenarios of negligence that would put the Frosted Face or other animals at risk INCENTIVES -$200.00/month for a term of 12 months *will be issued a 1099 -We pay for veterinary expenses -Donated food and supplies Read more at https://frostedfacesfoundation.org/mollymeproject To express interest in fostering or adopting Tanner, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tanner, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
