My story

Meet Mariposa! Mariposa came to us from San Diego Humane Society - Oceanside on March 17th. She is 10 years old and weighs 10 lbs. Mariposa is the sweetest, snuggliest girl you’ll ever meet. She soaks up every bit of love she’s given. Whether curled up in your lap or trotting beside you on a walk, Mariposa is happiest when she’s close to her people. Don’t let her small size fool you—Mariposa is full of energy and adventure! She recently joined two of our shepherds on a 3-mile walk, easily keeping up without missing a beat. She’s living proof that little dogs can do big things! Mariposa also gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and loves to play, especially if toys are involved. Give her a squeaky ball or a tug rope, and she’s in heaven! And when it’s time to hit the road? Mariposa rides like a pro. She hops in and out of the car all on her own, ready for the next adventure. Mariposa is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we can learn what she like in a home setting. Check back soon for an update!
