Bosley isn’t just a handsome face—though with that stocky frame and copper-toned coat, he definitely turns heads. He and his sister Kate were found wandering the streets together before being picked up by Romulus Animal Control. When their shelter needed a short-term hand during inspection season, we brought them in... and promptly fell in love. What started as a temporary stay quickly turned into a forever place at FMAR. Bosley is the definition of a "beefcake with a big heart." Outgoing and curious by nature, he’s always investigating what that sound was, who just walked by, or whether it’s snuggle o’clock yet. His energy is confident but not overwhelming—he’s one of those dogs that just brings a calming presence to a room. He’s done beautifully in dog playgroups, where his cool, friendly energy helps other dogs feel at ease. He’s not the rough-and-tumble type, but he clearly enjoys canine company and would thrive in a home with another social pup. When it comes to people, Bosley is a total sweetheart—welcoming everyone with warmth and the occasional enthusiastic (and sometimes jumpy) greeting. He's still working on those manners, so a home with older kids would be ideal, just to make sure no one gets accidentally bowled over by love. Toys haven’t really caught his interest yet, but that could easily change once he’s settled in a home. Bosley is a relatively chill guy who would fit well into a moderately active lifestyle—he’s happy to explore and go for daily walks, but also enjoys lounging by your side when the day winds down. Like his sister, Bosley recently had entropion surgery on both eyes to fix a condition where his eyelashes were irritating his eyes. He’s healing well and already much more comfortable—with only a little swelling left to go. He may end up with a slightly droopy-eyed look, but we think it just adds to his irresistible charm. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who brings warmth, personality, and a bit of beefy swagger, Bosley might just be your guy. Come meet him—you won’t regret it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kate and Bosley are not a bonded pair, and can live happily apart from one another. However, they could also go into a home together if someone was interested in both of them. If you would like to meet Bosley, please submit an application for him on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. He is neutered, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $250, which helps cover the cost of the medical care he has received. **Please note that the breed listed for each of our dogs is a rough estimate unless DNA results are provided in their Bio. All strays have rough estimates of their age based on the condition of their teeth. Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bosley, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
