My story

Adele / Spayed Female / 2 years / 55lbs / Northern Mix Breed / Dogs: Yes / Cats: Not Tested / Kids: Yes / Location: Clarington 📍 Hi everyone – it’s Adele here! I just wanted to check in and share a bit more about myself now that I’ve had some time to settle into my new foster home. I’ve been getting used to the routine, making friends with the other dogs, and just enjoying the good life! Here’s a little about me: I love playing – with other pups or even on my own! Toys are the best, especially the squeaky, squishy, and plushie ones. I’m a big fan of cuddles and affection, and I don’t mind sharing the love with my doggo buddies either. I’m a happy, playful girl with a gentle heart. I’ve got a sweet and sensitive soul, and all I really want is a forever home to call my own. When I first came to HHK9, I was scared. It was my first time living in a real home, and being left alone felt overwhelming. I needed a little help with anxiety at first, but I don’t need medication anymore – I’ve come a long way! Having another dog around helps a lot, and I’d really love a home with a canine companion. Good news: I’m crate trained, housebroken, and learning leash manners. I might be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, I’ll be your most loyal and loving sidekick. As for cats – I haven’t met any yet, but I might be okay with a dog-savvy one! Here’s what my foster mom says about me: “Meet Adele – your loyal, loving shadow. She’s a happy, affectionate girl who’s come so far. Adele thrives with routine, calm energy, and gentle guidance. She’s low-anxiety most of the time, and she’s learning to relax and enjoy her own space. It took her a week to feel brave enough to hop on the couch—now she’s a full-time cuddle bug! Adele is playful, food-motivated, and smart. She loves other dogs and learns quickly. She’s house and crate trained, and her leash skills are improving every day. Her ideal home? A calm, patient one with structure, love, and either a dog sibling or a playful human. Adele is a sweet soul who just wants to be part of your world.” Think you might be my forever person? I’m ready when you are. Adele has been spayed and microchipped. She is current on vaccines. She is being fostered in Durham County. Apply to adopt! https://forms.gle/95Vv6fUGzHDFP1jP9
