My story

Meet Ayla – A Sweet Soul Ready for Her Second Chance
Birthday: July 10, 2021
Breed: Beagle
Weight: 23lbs Ayla is a gentle, soft-eared beauty who has been blossoming in her foster home with Just Paws Animal Rescue. After spending much of her early life in a cage, she’s now discovering the joys of freedom, safety, and love – and she’s ready to share that joy with her forever family. When Ayla first arrived, walking on a leash was a scary and unfamiliar experience. But thanks to the patience and care of her foster family, she now walks more confidently and enjoys her daily outings! She’s fully crate trained and sleeps soundly at night in her large crate. During the day, she sticks close to the people she trusts and is never far from her canine companion or tossing her toys in the air. Ayla thrives around other dogs and takes comfort in following their lead, so a home with another confident, gentle dog would be ideal. She’s good with children and has a calm, affectionate personality that makes her an easy addition to a loving family. True to her beagle roots, Ayla loves to explore with her nose, so a secure, fenced-in yard is highly recommended. Surprisingly quiet for her breed, she rarely barks – but she’s always sniffing! Another sweet quirk: she never licks people, making her perfect for anyone who prefers a little less dog slobber. She’s spayed, microchipped, and making great progress with housetraining. Ayla continues to gain confidence every day and is ready to offer her heart to the right family. Fostered in Thornhill. ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt AYLA, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
