My story

Meet Wanda – A Dream Dog, Loving, Affectionate Companion Ready for Her Health Journey! Wanda is the kind of dog dreams are made of! She’s a sweet, affectionate girl with a heart full of love, eager to share it with those around her. At 5 years old and 66lbs, she thrives on human connection and enjoys nothing more than cuddles and kisses. Wanda is looking for a caring partner to join her in her weight-loss journey, offering support, encouragement, and maybe even some fitness adventures along the way! This lovely lady walks well on a leash and enjoys leisurely strolls or group hikes—just grab the leash, and she’s ready to go! With a bit of help, she’ll be on her way to reaching her health goals! Wanda is fully house-trained and doesn’t require a crate, making her an easy, low-maintenance companion. She’s also a low-shedding girl, so you can enjoy her cuddles without worrying about shedding on your furniture. Social, gentle, and a true dream dog, Wanda enjoys the company of other dogs but has a special affinity for humans. She’s a calm soul who’d do best in a home with an older couple who understand her need for some quiet downtime, whether that’s napping on her bed or lounging at your feet. While generally calm, Wanda may occasionally let out a small alert bark when something catches her attention. This sweet girl would flourish in a home with a fenced yard where she can explore and observe the world at her own pace. She would thrive either as the only pet, soaking up all your love and attention, or with a mature, calm dog companion. If you’re looking for a kind, loving, and easy-going companion to share your life and health journey, Wanda may just be the perfect addition to your home! Currently being fostered in Mount Albert (north of Newmarket). ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt WANDA, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
