Scotty

My story

Scotty is a true southern gentleman. With his good manners you could be proud to take him anywhere. Scotty is a soft caramel-colored 2 yr-old neutered male Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever mix that weighs 53 lbs and arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter as a stray on 4/10. Besides having beautiful coloring, he’s got a big fluffy tail with a white tip and a spattering a freckles across his nose. He’s a very handsome boy. He’s also laid-back. He casually strolled around the yard investigating with his nose. He sits for treats and takes them gently. He follows you around looking up at you with his alluring, hazel eyes. He’s gentle, calm, sweet, friendly, and affectionate. He walks OK on a leash. He sniffed other dogs but was not particularly interested. He maybe housetrained too. He would most likely be great with children because of his gentle nature. He likes to get outside to bask in the sun, but he wants to be considered an integral part of the family. Therefore, he would be best and an inside pup spending time with his family.
