My story

Meet Rocket (and the name really suits him!) a Dutch Shepherd weighing 45 pounds, about a year old and that is neutered. He originally arrived as a stray on 4/4/25, was adopted and sadly returned on 6/17 after spending three days with his adopters. He walks very nicely on a leash and appears to be house trained. This handsome brindle boy knows the sit and lay down commands. He is confident, spirited, excitable and very high energy! He does jump on you. He would seem best suited for a person or family with children over 10 years old due to his high energy level and habit of jumping. This is a behavior that can be corrected with training. Because of his breed, he requires mental and physical stimulation and would do best when he has a job to accomplish. He is very playful and is crazy about tennis balls! He is loving and friendly and affectionate and more than happy to receive attention. He needs a yard in which to stretch his legs, but wants an indoor life with his people. Rocket longs to be in a home with loving and caring people that would provide a safe and secure life for him. He would like nothing better than to leave the shelter life behind for good and get settled in with a person or family that would give him a comfy cozy inside life and all the love and attention he deserves.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rocket, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
