**$115 in pledges to any rescue that may pull!** **New notes and video 5/4!** Kim Possible ACCT-A-215700 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to length of stay and lack of space for incoming dogs. Kim Possible must have confirmed placement with a FOSTER, RESCUE PARTNER and/or ADOPTER by Wednesday, May 7th, 2025 at 10AM. Should Kim Possible's medical or behavioral status change, her urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Kim Possible is an affectionate, playful, and spirited pup who lives up to her adventurous name. This friendly girl has quickly become a volunteer favorite thanks to her sweet nature, cuddly personality, and endless enthusiasm for walks and attention. Whether she’s exploring the outdoors or curling up next to you on the couch, Kim’s tail never stops wagging. She pulls a bit on the leash, especially when she spots other dogs, and her energy can be high at times, but she does settle with guidance and loves soaking up affection—often nudging your hands for pets and happily rolling over for belly rubs. During a recent day trip, she showed off her excellent indoor manners, alerting her companion when she needed to go outside and taking treats (especially cheese!) with impressive gentleness. She's also great in the car, hopping in and out easily and preferring to ride shotgun, close to her person. Kim is described as house-trained, crate-trained, and smart—she knows cues like “sit,” “stay,” “go to cage,” “up,” and even “spin around.” In a previous home, she lived with adults and a child, and was reported to be loving and friendly toward both people and dogs. However, in shelter playgroup settings, Kim has shown barrier reactivity and overstimulated behavior around other dogs, requiring caution and redirection. While she may do well with calm or tolerant dog companions in the right environment, her most successful moments come when she’s one-on-one with her humans, soaking up attention or trotting confidently on a walk. Kim Possible thrives on affection and interaction and would be happiest in an active, loving home where she can enjoy regular walks, lots of cuddles, and continued positive reinforcement training. With her big heart, loyal spirit, and goofy grin, Kim P. is sure to make an incredible companion for someone ready to embrace her energy and return her endless affection. In the kennels and when walking she seemed to be on high alert." *NEW!* Per volunteer 5/4: Kim Possible is an adorable, high-energy girl with the cutest Dorito-shaped floppy ears you’ve ever seen. She’s playful and curious, though her attention span with toys is short—likely due to the stress of shelter life. She pulls a bit on the leash, but she’s completely house trained, which tells us she once had a home. Her extra energy is probably her way of coping with how out of place she feels here. Kim has so much potential—with just a little time, structure, and love, her excitement can absolutely be channeled into something wonderful. She’s time-stamped due to her length of stay, but this girl deserves a second chance and a home that matches her big heart. per day trip 4/20: Kim Possible is a sweet girl who has lots of energy for walks but also loves a good couch cuddle. She pulls a bit on the leash and was excited to see other dogs on the walks. She happily accepted a cheese tax and she took it so gently. She had great indoor manners and alerted when she needed to go outside. She is a goofy, energetic girl who loves affection and will nudge your hands to give her pets and will give you all the kisses. She quickly dives onto her to back for belly rubs all while her tails wags non stop. She happily got in and out of the car and prefers sitting in the front seat next to her person. Overall, she’s an absolute pleasure to have and would make a fantastic companion. PG 4/20: Kim Possible was very reactive at the gate, pulling towards the gate and dogs and hard barking. She would fixate and face jam herself into the barrier. The main handler did not feel comfortable putting her in the yard. Per volunteer 4/18/25: Kim Possible flew enthusiastically out the door excited to go for a walk with me. She did settle down and was easy on the leash to walk. She seems house trained from my time with her. Kim allowed me to pet her but she really loved meeting a very nice man who works at the cemetery. Very friendly little lady! Playgroup 4/16/25: Had to be muzzled upon entering the yard, fractious/ barrier reactive at gate. Immediately ran into yard full speed, pushy greeting, offensive, rowdy, pulled off muzzle and had to stop evaluation due to escalation with other dogs. 4/15/25 Adoption return after 3 weeks due to allergies. She was described as wanting lots of pets and curious about people passing by. The final time she went out on this day she had high energy levels and was noted to be very playful. 3/24- Kim Possible went out twice with volunteers this day.
