My story

Music ACCT-A-213070 is a 3-year-old neutered male cat who came to us on 2/12 after being surrendered due to his aggression toward people. Since arriving, Music has struggled to adjust and remains highly reactive to handling and interaction. Despite time and medication support, he continues to display defensive behaviors such as hissing, growling, and swatting. Music needs an experienced and patient home or rescue willing to work with his unique needs. If you can give Music the understanding and space he requires, he may have a chance to thrive. On 3/18 staff noted: Doing a meet. Did the meet. He just wanted to see him, he was hiding, he was able to see him and right away he was hissing. On 3/16 staff noted: “Music is still very reactive towards any interaction. Hissing, growling, airplane ears and retreats to back of kennel. He did swat at a potential adopter and broke blue glove but did not break skin. I believe he is behaviorally declining and has not shown any improvements since being here :/ “ On 2/12 staff noted: “Unable to check in due to aggressive behaviors such as hissing, growling, lunging and attempting to bite. TTA slip dropped in kennel bag starting on GABA.” On 2/12 staff noted: “Use caution, handling this cat, he would swat and try to bite you.” On 2/12 Owner reported: “he was sitting on the couch and all of sudden this cat started to attack him for no reason.” Medical: On 3/9: Doctor prescribed Gabapentin. - ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia.
