My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I have lived with cats in my previous home.I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing.Roger Jet appreciates some attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to an adult-only home with experienced cat parents.A volunteer writes: We've been told that Roget Jet plays exuberantly with other cats. He came to us from a home with many of them and though he often sits quietly looking out at Adoptions from the top of his condo ledge, we're so lucky to see glimmers of the playful kitty he is. Roger Jet brightens when he sees our laser toy and though his previous family's favorite thing about him is how loving he is, he's been a little more reticent to show us that side of himself here at the shelter. Roger Jet keeps an admirably open mind and seems to enjoy learning about the different toys and treats we keep in stock just for kitties like him. Truthfully, I've been trying to make friends with Roger Jet for weeks now and admittedly haven't gotten particularly far. When he first came to the shelter, he only left his carrier when staff left a trail of treats to follow and while settling into shelter life has left us some room to grow, Roger Jet has started to let us pet his big fluffy cheeks from time to time, which has been my dream since I first saw him.
