Bella allows some attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Due to the behavior shown, she may not be a great fit for young children. Any home with older children prepared to adopt this cat should conduct a thorough interaction and endeavor to monitor this cat around their children to prevent these behaviors from being reinforced.A volunteer writes: Bella stands out and it's probably the last thing she wants to be doing at the moment. We've been told she's a friendly and outgoing cat who does her best to seek human companionship by staying where the people are. But the shelter is new and considerably different, so it stands to reason that the Bella we see here is different. Instead of playing gently with her toys or other cats, Bella sits meowing as loudly as she can at the front of her condo. She likes when we talk with her and will gently close her eyes, but new people in and out all day are distracting and sends her vociferously explaining that the shelter isn't remotely close to where she wants to be. Bella's scared and could use a patient and loving family who will welcome her as she moves at her own pace. Primary Color: Black Weight: 6.64 Age: 1yrs 3mths 3wks
