My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing.June is an adult cat that may not have had many interactions with humans from an early age. He is apprehensive of people and while showing no aggressive behaviors, he appears wary of human contact. It is difficult to predict if he will respond to socialization but we recommend offering high value treats and food to help build a positive association to humans. Please be mindful that older cats will require more time and skill in order for them to be comfortable around people. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.A volunteer writes: June is a cat's cat. And by this I mean each time I say hello, he seems utterly surprised and convinced it's the first time he's ever seen me. I love him for that. June's been with us since early April and was brought to us from a home with many other cats. He may not have had many opportunities to meet new people, but he's had plenty of chances to be with other kitties. This may be why our Free Roaming Room has proven to be a fantastic fit. He meanders around the room, sniffing like he's just trying to do his job, but underneath June's distinctly cat affect is a very curious, interested, and loving little guy. June actually loves to snuggle up and will softly lean his head back into neck scritches. He's adorable and good natured, looking for pets without really knowing how to ask for them. Since June's started learning about people and has done such a great job that we're sure he's ready to learn about forever families. Primary Color: Gray Weight: 9 Age: 7yrs 1mths 1wks
