My story

DOB December 12, 2023 Microchipped Hello, my name is Garbanzo! My foster parents usually call me Garby, but sometimes they will call me the Garborator because of how much I love food. I’ve been told that I have the face of a grumpy baker, but it must be a compliment because I am also told at least 50 times a day that I am so cute! I am the friendliest and sweetest cat in the entire world. I want everyone to love me, no matter what species. In fact, I’d probably try to befriend a spider if one crawled by. I don’t really like to be picked up, but I love head rubs, chin rubs, belly rubs, back rubs… I actually start purring if you are just looking in my direction. I’ve gotten along immediately with every cat I’ve met and I absolutely LOVE dogs! I should be adopted into a home with another friendly cat and it would be even better if there was a dog too. Even though I am extremely loving and want to be everyone’s friend, I am wearing big time scaredy-pants. I am nervous about everything and spend most of my day under the bed. It is very easy to lure me out from under the bed with kibble or pets, but the slightest noise will have me scurrying back. I will occasionally venture out to see the dog or monitor your work, but even a sneeze will send me running to the safety of the bed. I have been improving a lot lately and now spend my evenings sitting with my foster parents on the couch to watch TV or look out the window. I like to play with the ball tower (at night when no one is watching) and I’ve recently discovered how fun it is to dig up potted plants. Even though I made a gigantic mess, my foster parents still love me very much and think I’ll make a great addition to someone’s family. I have met young children before and I will gladly accept pets from them, but they tend to be too loud and energetic for me.
