My story

Yes, she’s as sweet as she looks! Mandy is a 3 yr old spayed female 55 lb American terrier pit that came to Mesquite Animal Shelter on 3/13 as a stray. She has a sprinkling of freckles across her nose and soft chocolate brown eyes. She is a little timid at first. But once she gets to know you, it becomes obvious that she wants to be your friend. She’s basically laid-back and very calm. There was some activity outside the gate and she did run back-and-forth to investigate. She sits for treats and takes them gently. She stayed close seeking affection. When I sat down she came to me and put her head on my lap. She’s sweet, alert, cautiously friendly, and affectionate. She walks well on a leash. She did her business in the yard. She wagged her tail meeting other dogs. As gentle as she is, she would most likely do well with children. And last but not least she wants to be an inside dog so she can chill out with her new family. A pile of blankets or her bed at your feet would be her dream come true!
