My story

Meet Marky Mark, one of the charming boys from the Boy Band litter, born on January 10th to mama Betty, a 28-pound Cattle Dog mix! This little bundle of joy is believed to be mixed with some kind of hound and is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog (he currently weighs about 20-25 lbs at 6 months old). Marky is a low rider with short, stubby legs that will melt your heart! A total cutie!!  Marky is a happy and friendly puppy who loves everyone he meets! He is very sweet, smart, and lovable. He is good with dogs, cats, people, and kids, making him a perfect addition to just about any family. He is medically up to date (has an upcoming neuter appointment now that he is 6 months old), crate trained, and mostly housebroken. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
