My story

ABOUT ANGEL As her name would suggest, this girl is sweet as can be! Angel is a 1-year-old mix breed that loves everyone she meets! She came to HAP when her owner could no longer care for her. Despite being at the shelter, she’s a social butterfly who enjoys greeting new people and getting pets. She’s made lots of doggy friends too and would likely love a fur sibling! Angel loves to play with her stuffed animals and will even bring them to you when she wants to cuddle. She’s great in the car, walks well on a leash, and is just as happy relaxing at home as she is going on outdoor adventures. Angel has thrived participating in our Doggy Day Out program, check out how our volunteers describe her: “Angel truly is an angel! We had such a fun-filled day, walked around UD campus, and got her a pup cup! She is the sweetest, kindest, and such a smart gal! She loves acorns and trying to catch squirrels, but listened well with a light correction on the leash! She would make a joyful addition to any family” - Erika “I had the pleasure of taking Angel out the last few times for DDO and I truly don’t understand how she hasn’t been snatched up yet. I love her puppy energy and her little bounces while she walks! She’s so precious, great in the car, great on leash, and loves everyone she meets. Simply put IM OBSESSED” - Taylor “We got to take Angel out today and we loved spending time with her. We stopped at home first and she really liked playing with toys, just hanging out with us. Then we took a nice long walk around Carousel Park and she was great.  There weren’t many people out but she did get to meet someone and was very polite. Then back home for a quick nap before getting a pup cup on the way back.  She’s really a sweet dog and she loves to give lots of kisses.” - Mark “I took Angel out for DDO. She is the sweetest, most friendly girl in the world! We got a pup cup, went on a walk at the Newark Reservoir, and then got lunch on the patio at Grain on Main Street! Angel was fantastic on the leash and in the car—very calm, no pulling. She gave me and my roommates so many kisses and acted like a lap dog all day. What a sweet girl!” - Kate If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Angel , please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
