My story

🍔 Portly Gentleman Seeks Personal Snack Distributor and Belly Rub Assistant 🍔 Meet Cerro, a short king with a long list of redeeming qualities. This Corgi-shaped mystery mix is living proof that good things come in wide, wiggly packages. At first glance, he may look like a retired potato, but don’t be fooled—this distinguished gentleman still has plenty of pep in his step (and yes, he will beat you to the couch). Cerro is currently enjoying an extended Frosted Fling and making the most of it—morning walks, evening walks, and enough belly rubs to keep a full-time masseuse busy. He recently clocked in a 1.25-mile walk and came back looking like he’d just conquered Everest. Proud. Majestic. Slightly panting. He’s:     •    Potty trained (no awkward surprises)     •    Low-maintenance (unless you stop petting him—then there may be whining)     •    Good with cats, kids, and dogs of all sizes     •    A polite houseguest who won’t hog your bed (but might eye your snacks)     •    A master of the dramatic sigh when he doesn’t get a treat fast enough Cerro thrives on companionship and veggies—yes, really. Zucchini, carrots, cucumbers… he’s a clean-eating king when he’s not sneakily hoping for chicken. His foster family has discovered he’s surprisingly agile (don’t let the short legs fool you—he can launch onto a couch like a furry cannonball) and an enthusiastic walker who enjoys keeping an eye on the neighborhood after his exercise. He’s not into drama (unless you stop petting him), tolerates children like a seasoned babysitter, and thinks every car ride is a mysterious adventure as long as he can sprawl out in the backseat. Cerro may take a day or two to settle into a new place—he might whine a bit at first, like your great-uncle adjusting to a new remote—but once he’s in, he’s in. Loyal, mellow, easygoing, and just quirky enough to keep things interesting. To know Cerro is to adore him. He’s the perfect blend of couch potato and walking buddy, snuggle bug and snack enthusiast. If you’re looking for a lovable, low-key best friend who thinks you’re the greatest human alive (especially if you’re holding a carrot), Cerro’s your guy.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cerro, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
