My story

Meet Sharma! 5-year-old Sharma spent her early years on a property in Ramona, living among too many other dogs. When her owner needed help rehoming some of them, three were welcomed into the Frosted Faces family — including Sharma. When Sharma arrived at the beginning of April, she was understandably very scared after having her world turned upside down. She had never left the property previously or been around any humans other than her owner. Even so, Sharma's sweet and gentle nature shone through. Sharma has learned that she can trust her new human friends and to understand that she is safe. She enjoys gentle pets, loves treats, and does well in a large play group with dogs of all sizes. Walking on a leash was completely new to Sharma, and she recently went on her first walk around the FFF grounds. The volunteer who was with her shared afterwards: "Sharma was very alert, but after chilling in the gazebo for a bit, she seemed to enjoy sniffing and walking around and exploring. She walked very nicely on the leash, no problems at all. Sharma is the sweetest girl, and she even gave me a couple of kisses. When we started back in, the noise and barking of the kennels made her a little anxious. I think she really liked getting away from it all." We're so proud of Sharma and how far she has come.
