My story

Meet Toby Tackle! Toby was surrendered by his family to Los Angeles Animal Care and Control – Baldwin Park Shelter for unknown reasons. We were honored to welcome him into the Frosted Faces Family on June 19th. Toby deserves love, security, and a fresh start—and we're here to give him just that! Toby is 13 years old and weighs 8 pounds. He is went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn more about him in a home setting. His Fling Mom reports: "Toby is really a sweetheart. He still a bit skittish when approached, but he's also come up the steps to the couch to lay by me. He's made good progress, and he's hoping that he won't have to wait long for a forever family. Toby eats well, sleeps through the night (and his belly band is dry in the morning), and exhibits no separation anxiety. I can tell with time that he is going to be a cuddler. Belly rubs are a must several times a day! Toby doesn't appear to have much experience with walking on a leash, but he doesn't balk at being leashed. He is much more relaxed in the car compared to when I brought him home. With Toby's past skin issues, I'm guessing he was mostly outside. His fur is growing in on his back, and I think he's gained a little much needed weight. Toby enjoyed napping on the porch or laying in the sunshine. He is a sweet, fairly quiet, mellow boy who I'm sure will be a very loyal and loving companion once he settles in. Toby says, I'M READY for my forever family!"
