My story

FOR ADOPTION in southern Ontario: Lovely Lily is Back and Ready for Her Forever Home! Sweet Lily’s heart has been through a lot lately. After a promising meet-and-greet and weeks of hopeful waiting after a confirmed adoption date, her adoption unfortunately fell through due to no fault of her own. While she’s been comforted by her foster family, she’s still waiting for her family. The good news? This amazing girl is once again available for adoption, and someone out there is going to be very lucky. Lily is a 3-year-old Cane Corso weighing about 70 lbs. She was found as a stray and brought to a shelter by a Good Samaritan, but sadly, no one came to claim her. Thanks to her sweet temperament, she was adopted quickly from the shelter, but things didn’t work out—Lily showed a little too much interest in the family cat, and while there she experienced a ruptured cruciate ligament and was returned to the shelter. She spent several long months awaiting TPLO surgery at the shelter while up for adoption again as the hope was that she get adopted first so the shelter can provide for her surgery and she can recover in a home vs a kennel, but there was no adoption interest. The shelter began reaching out to rescues in hopes one can help her. That’s when we stepped in. We found a loving foster willing to help Lily heal post surgery and give her the second chance she so deserved. Now fully recovered, Lily is back to her happy, playful self! She’s affectionate, cuddly, and always ready to be part of the action. She’ll be your loyal shadow and your couch companion—make sure there’s room for two! Lily loves toys, bones, and any approved chewables. She’s also super food-motivated and proudly shows off her tricks in exchange for treats. She Is also crate trained. Her ideal home: • No cats or small animals • A fully fenced yard • A family committed to continued training and daily mental/physical stimulation (as is important for all power breeds!) If you’re looking for a goofy, loving, loyal companion with a big heart and an even bigger personality, Lily just might be your girl. For questions, please reach out to her adoption coordinator Jasna at adopt@teamdogrescue.ca Applications can be submitted here: https://teamdogrescue.ca/you-can-help/adopt/adoption-application/

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Lily, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
