My story

Rigby is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption application to learn more about him and schedule an introduction. Rigby is: Neutered: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized More about Rigby: Housebroken: Yes! Crate trained: Yes! Rigby does well in his crate and will even put himself in it to take a nap. Leash walking: Rigby loves going for long walks in quieter neighborhoods but can be leash reactive towards dogs in densely populated areas. OTAT will sponsor a virtual leash reactivity class with our staff trainer for Rigby and his adopter. Dog social: Rigby enjoys playing with respectful dogs but needs to be the only dog in the home due to not liking to share his belongings. Cat social: Unknown Kid friendly: Unknown, but he's still a teen and can by jumpy/play mouthy - likely best with older kids until he's worked through this phase Rigby likes: - Walkies - Cuddling! - Playtime Rigby is a fun and silly boy who is also such a love bug. Once he's warmed up to you, he loves to lay on top of you / next to you. He can play by himself, running after a ball he threw. He's is very smart, food motivated, and loves training! He recently graduated from a Level 1 Obedience Class at Canine Therapy Corps and would thrive with someone who will continue his training. Rigby can be an excitable adolescent at times and would appreciate an adopter who can help him channel this energy in positive ways, like working on enrichment activities or learning new tricks! Rigby has been diagnosed with a mild heart murmur, and his adopter should follow up with their primary veterinarian. No treatment is recommended, just monitoring. Rigby's adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous supporter, and this lovely pup is so excited to join a family!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rigby, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
