My story

Helly and Joel are living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey, and then we can set up a phone call or meet and greet with the foster! Helly & Joel are:: Spayed/neutered: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized More about Helly & Joel: Housebroken: Yes! Crate trained: They have done very well with free roam when home alone Leash walking: Joel has shown some reactivity when he sees other dogs on walks, and he could use some practice with this, but overall, they walk quite nicely, Dog social: Helly & Joel came from a multi-dog situation, and have always lived together. They haven't met other dogs in OTAT's care. Cat social: Unknown Kid friendly: They live with older kids in their foster home and have been great with them. Helly & Joel like: - Hanging with their humans and each other - Learning new things - Snuggling and giving kisses - Car rides - Helping you find that missing shoe! Joel is an absolute sweetheart—affectionate, playful, and full of love. He’s always seeking connection and attention, but settles down beautifully when he feels safe and close to his people. Joel is curious and energetic, loves to play, and has a charming belief that he’s a lap dog—happily snuggling and showering you with kisses for hours. He thrives in any home environment, enjoys the company of children, and truly just needs his special person to help him feel secure and content! Helly has a way of melting hearts the moment she enters the room, with her calm presence and gentle smile. She accepts love in the sweetest ways—by quietly inching closer on the couch or meeting your gaze with her soulful, expressive eyes. While she can still feel anxious at times and seeks comfort in cozy corners or under benches, her love for hugs and treats always helps her find her way back. Helly has a special bond with Joel and loves being near him, but lately, she’s grown braver—venturing out on her own to explore the outdoors, take in new scents, and connect with people and other dogs at her own pace. She’s truly wonderful—sweet, smart, and full of potential! Helly & Joel's adoption fee is $300, and they are ready to give all their love to their person! Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/ *** Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours. For additional questions, email adopt@onetail.org ***

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Helly & Joel - We're a bonded pair!, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
