My story

Fran is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey, and then we can set up a phone call or meet and greet with the foster! Fran is: Spayed: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized More about Fran: Housebroken: Yes! Crate trained: She has done well with free roam when home alone, for up to 9-10 hours Leash walking: She has shown some reactivity to other dogs on walks, and has done best when given a good deal of distance from them Dog social: She should be the only dog in her future home, as she prefers to have her own space around other dogs Cat social: Not a match Kid friendly: She has done well in interactions with older kids Fran likes: - Lazy Sunday mornings spent listening to NPR and doing crosswords with you - Supervising your yard work while she catches some rays - Tennis balls(!!) and playing fetch, when the mood strikes Best girl Fran is the dog equivalent of a weighted blanket and possibly the coziest dog to ever exist. With her knack for finding the perfect sunbeam for a nap, we suspect that she might secretly be solar-powered. Fran would prefer to be your one and only, so would do best as the only furry companion in the home. On leash, she can be reactive when other dogs approach her, so would do best in a neighborhood where she can consistently have a decent amount of distance from other dogs on walks. Fran has some orthopedic changes in both hips, and takes joint supplements as well as pain medication to help with this. Like all older large breed dogs, she'll need to work with her new vet to make sure she stays active and comfortable. Fran's adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous supporter, and she is excited to be tucked in at night by her forever human(s)! Next steps: Email adopt@onetail.org with questions, or submit an application online and we'll be in touch to schedule a meeting: https://www.onetail.org/apply-to-adopt/ *** Our adoption application stays on file for one year and can apply to any dog in our program. Once the app is submitted you will receive an email within 48-72 hours. For additional questions, email adopt@onetail.org ***

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Fran, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
