My story

Astro isn’t just a dog—he’s a 50-pound bundle of joy with an iconic baby seal face and a heart full of love! At just 2 years old, this happy-go-lucky pup is the perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly sweetness. If you’re looking for an adventure buddy, Astro is your guy! He lives for fetch, loves long walks, and will keep up with whatever fun you have planned. But don’t worry—once playtime is over, he’s all about curling up with his people (or his foster sister) for some well-earned snuggles. Astro was saved from the PG County urgent list, and his foster parents can’t stop raving about him! He’s smart, food-motivated, and picking up new skills fast. He walks beautifully on a leash and is learning tons from his foster dog sister—though he can be a goofy little brother, always wanting to do what she does (including stealing her toys!). Because of his playful interest in cats, he’d likely do best in a cat-free home. Astro would thrive in a home with another dog who enjoys puppy antics, but he’d also do great as your one-and-only adventure partner.
